I am #DRIVENBYPASSION: Trisha Craft

As the final article in the #DrivenByPassion series, presented by ProWatercraftRacing.com, MotorActionMedia.com interviews Trisha Craft — on of the girls who takes on the challenge of racing against the boys.

Trisha, could you tell me a little about how you got involved in Jet Ski Racing? How did you get started?

One of my friends raced endurance runabouts, so that’s how I started in 2006. I first went to closed course runabouts and now standups this past year. My favorite accomplishment on a standup would have to be getting hole shots and finishing 2nd in a moto against 15 guys.

Could you tell me a little about your race ski? What’s under the hood? What classes do you race?

This season I’m racing novice stock. I also pick up novice limited and women’s limited here and there for experience. My race ski is a Kawasaki SXR of course with a few tricks under the hood.

b8515e5b-2907-49ca-8234-636abb7f2e17I understand that you run some Pro Watercraft Racing.com products also, which products do you use?

I use thePro Watercraft Racing.com  Ergo tray extension, Pro Watercraft Racing.com front sponsons, Pro Watercraft Racing.com adhesive rail bumper,Pro Watercraft Racing.com ride plate andPro Watercraft Racing.com  rear sponsons. Everything works together as a package to keep you hooked up and driving hard. Before, my ski would search on top end and not plant for turns. Now [with Pro Watercraft Racing.com products] my ski drives hard through chop and going into turns. My ski now rides just as predictable behind someone as it does in front. Pro Watercraft Racing.com products allow me to get off the line without hopping, making me one of the first to the split. Pro Watercraft Racing.com  has made my ski predictable and stable. In novice stock it’s about staying on and that’s not a problem with my Pro Watercraft Racing.com package. My goal for is to be the only girl on the podium. Staying fit and getting time on my ski will help me get there. Pro Watercraft Racing.com products have made my ski very predictable in front and behind people. That’s key to gaining confidence as a new rider and pushing your limits. Guessing what my ski is going to do is never a worry. I would highly recommend Pro Watercraft Racing.com  products to other racers.

What do you love most about racing, why? Do you think that having a passion as an athlete helps your career?

What I love most about racing would have to be the people that I consider family. Jetski racing is such a small sport so to share that passion with other people is pretty special. What keeps me coming back is my competitiveness. Also wanting to be the only girl racing against a full line of men and beating them.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would also like to add that PWC goes above and beyond for rider questions and support. PWC has worked with me to figure out the best combination for me as a individual.

Is there anyone you would like to thank?

Thanks to Pro Watercraft Racing.com , KMG racing, Mystik lubricants,  Bomber eye wear, Printshop Inc, Kommander Ind, C4 Performance (Chad Cole) and TechOne for keeping me on the water. Most of all my husband Mateo Juarez for everything he does.
