Jack, could you tell me how you got started in Jet Ski Racing?

My dad used to race in this sport and I thought it was cool.  He ask me if I wanted to start riding and I loved it from that point on.

I understand you competed at the 2015 World Finals, was that your first World Finals? How did it go?

No, it was my second World Finals event.  It was a tough one this year.  In 2014, I placed 11th in Jr. Ski Stock 10-12.  This year, I placed 13th in Jr. Lites 10-12.

What was your favorite memory from the 2015 World Finals?

I was coming around the first turn and almost came off my ski… but I held on, sort of looked like superman and was able to get back on the ski without falling off.

Do you have an role models? Who are they, and why?

Yes, my dad is my greatest role model because he got me into this awesome sport and is always there supporting me.  Also, Brock Austin because even when he doesn’t win or the race doesn’t go like he wants, he never gives up.

What are your goals for the future?

I’d love to place in the top 5 in my last year of the Junior 10-12 class and hope to one day win a world title.

Are you going to race next year? What’s your plan?

Yes, definitely.  I’m going to start training as soon as the snow stops falling here in Utah, keep eating healthy and make good grades so I can still complete.

I understand you also have a little brother, does he race with you?

Not yet, but he just started riding and training with me this last summer.

I heard that you won the MotorActionMedia.com Social Media award. Why do you think it’s important to post cool & positive stuff about Jet Skiing?

I think it’s important so it can be promoted positively, as the sport progresses.

What do you plan to do with your brand new Go Pro Hero Session?

It’s going on my race helmet for this coming season!

Is there anything else you would like to say?

I had such a great experience this year at World Finals even though I had some rough races.  The Junior Stars program was awesome!  I learned a lot and can’t wait until next season.

Is there anyone you would like to thank?

I’d like to thank my parents for all their support and my sponsors, Twisted Tin, Bomber Eyewear, IPD Graphics, C4 Racing and Lizard Skin.  I’d also like to thank the Junior Stars Program, Motor Action Media and Anna Glennon for this great experience.
