Zack Bright is well known for insane freeride skills, backflipping DTVshredders, and a gnarly beard but he just put his name on the map in California by opening his new motorsports shop –Ruthless Unlimited.
Located near Oside, Ruthless Unlimited is expected to be one of the hottest freeride shop stops in California. Bright offers a wide inventory of new and used Yamaha Superjet parts, custom freeride builds, freeride ski rentals and more. If freeriders want to experience Oside for themselves, Ruthless Unlimited offers ski storage as well as lessons from the IFWA #2 ranked rider, Zack Bright himself. Not only will Ruthless Unlimited be a freeride shop, it will also cater to those who own DTV Shredders.
When Motor Action Media caught wind of Zack’s project, we had to hear it for ourselves. We got the scoop right from Zack Bright:
I started thinking about this 6 months ago. I obviously love freeride, but it’s very hard to make a living by competing…. Let me rephrase that, you can’t survive by competing. There no factory backing, no big companies waiting for you to sign with…. What there is though is amazing friendships and companies that do there best to support but I’ve just grown tired of spending all my money to go on tour, getting on the podium, and coming home broke. I’ve given the last 5 years of my life establishing myself as a top rider and have basically learned the ins and outs of watercraft along the way thanks to me breaking everything. I decided if I want to make a life out of all this, then I need to do it myself. I’d rather focus on trying to set some roots and focus on filming. I still love competing but this year I had to skip Europe and set up Ruthless Unlimited. Hopefully things work well and I can compete again and just write it all off!
Fans can rest easy knowing that Zack Bright will be back on the offense soon, and competitors can’t count this guy out. We forsee Zack knocking this project out of the park, and we just had to ask him where he wants to go with this project:
My goal is to be the go to shop for my area. I live 10 minutes away from the mecca of freeride, Oceanside, Ca, and what blows my mind is that there is no freeride shop. None! People always are waiting on parts they ordered and I thought that was insane. I want to use my shop to help grow the sport in a positive light and help the up and coming guys get into the sport and have a place they can bring their skis to and hang out with some of the best pros in the world on any given day and be comfortable knowing that the riders who throw down daily, are the ones turning wrenches on their skis and they know that they have assurance that they are being taken care of. Not buying stuff from someone who is selling them something just to sell it. Buying stuff from someone who KNOWS what they need and has the resume to back it up.
We wish ZB the best of luck in his new venture! Stay tuned for the launch of the Ruthless Unlimited website, and be sure to follow Ruthless Unlimited on Instagram.
