A BUMPY START: Rob Flores’ was on his way to the first round of the Pro Watercross National Tour in Panama City when he tore the axle out from underneath his trailer. With the aid of Kenny Sims and Dale of Dale’s Jet Sports, Flores was able to get back up and running, and made it just in time to the races.
THE TOUR KICKS OFF: Panama City Beach was flooded with racers that were eager to kick off the 2015 Pro Watercross National Tour. Excellent weather and beautiful scenery made for a great race. The Pro Ski classes were chock-full of talent this year, and audiences should look forward to great racing among all classes. Chris MacCluggage took the victory in Pro Ski GP, and Abdullah Alfadhel won Pro Runabout Open. The Pro Watercross staff also announced the elimination of two-minute holds and that CBS will be covering the final two rounds of the tour later this year.
FLIPPIN’ CRUSHED IT: Daniel Martin broke another record by completing 5 backflips in a pool at Club La Vela in Panama City Beach, FL on his XScream ski. Daniel continues to push limits and set new records – keep an eye on this guy!
110% AWESOMENESS: Kommander Industries debuted their new K1 hull this weekend in Panama City. After a bit of a bumpy start to the weekend, Steve Webster told MotorActionMedia.com that Sunday would be “110% awesomeness”. Motzouris went on to finish in third place in a stacked field of Pro Ski GP riders. Motz was “just looking for a solid finish, and didn’t push it at all” and he also was excited about the performance of the boat, he said it ran awesome and had more power than it has ever had.
