US Freestyle Championship: headed to Lake Havasu City

The U.S. Freestyle Championship will be heading to Lake Havasu City, AZ April 16th to kick off the 2016 season. With the introduction of a new Freestyle Beginner Open division — it’s bound to be one of the coolest events of the year. We got the official word from Ice Man on what’s going down this season.

After the success in Europe the Freestyle Personal Watercraft Association (FPWCA) together with IJSBA are bringing Freestyle only tour to the USA. Freestyle athletes will be able to take part in two separate events: April 16th, 2016 Lake Havasu City, AZ -or the West Coast Round and August 27th, 2016 North Fort Myers, FL for the East Coast Round. 

2016 USFC CLASSES

Freestyle 800: OEM hull and maximum engine displacement of 800cc.
Freestyle 900: aftermarket hull allowed and maximum engine displacement of 900cc.
Freestyle 1200: aftermarket hull allowed and maximum engine displacement of 1200cc.

Exclusively for the USA FPWCA is introducing new class Freestyle Beginner Open: aftermarket hull allowed and maximum engine displacement of 1200cc. This class is open to any competitor who never finished on the podium on the national level and/or never competed at World Cup/Championship/Finals.

Freestyle routines will be judged by five different judges each per one criteria: 20% variety, 20% difficulty, 20% execution, 20% flow and 20% number of tricks.
