GOMER TAKES THE WIN: Mark Gomez took over France in an epic battle to win the second round of the IFWA Freeride World Tour series. This round brought some of the world’s most talented freeriders riders and pitted them against one another in a grueling bracket-knockout event. Riders like Abraham Ho, Brodie Copp, Mark Gomez, Pete McAfee and more battled the surf and their opponents to try and gain points and a spot on the box. After this weekend, Mark Gomez has taken over the points lead in the IFWA Freeride World Tour going into the third round.

K1 ANNOUCEMENT: Dustin Motzouris of Kommander Industries announced that the K1 hull will also be available in a classic Kawasaki SX-R style. This ski will look just like an SX-R, but have the performance features of a Kommander K-1. The nose of the SX-R K1 hull will be narrower than the original K1 hull, and the engine compartment is also smaller; the SX-R style K1 hull will still have a widened tray like that of the original K1. All Kawasaki hardware — including graphic kits — will be easily transferred over to the SX-R style K1 hull from Kommander Industries.

WEST COAST SMACKDOWN: RPM Racing Enterprises put on another round of the Jettribe Best of the West series over the weekend in Parker, AZ at the Blue Water Casino. This race brought in hundreds of racers from all over the country and world to enjoy sunshine and the smell of race fuel. This two day event had several highlights: world champion Chris Maccluggage had his fans excited as he raced in the vintage X-2 division. Up-and-coming racer and Kommander Industries rider, Lauren Conroy celebrated a big victory in a stacked women’s class, and the Juniors class featured a huge line up of talented young racers. Some other notable racers were Tera Laho, Brock Austin, Mike Klippenstein, Yukiko Kume, Blake Wicklund, Kole Cramer, Guy Vinatieri, and Braden Wicklund. Another important detail was that race day happened to fall on the birthday of JetSkiing’s #1 Fan, Nedra Attwood — Motor Action Media would like to wish her a very happy birthday.
